Carol Jazzar is proud to present Gazebo, an installation by Tom Scicluna.
“Tom Scicluna’s work is meant to keep one guessing - about the difference between the accidental and the intentional gesture, between the arbitrary and controlled operation, and the ad hoc and the planned system. He uses modest materials, and unrefined, ordinary objects reconfigured and reordered into forms, shapes and relationships that create connective patterns and balanced effects. The range of his sculptural feats are modest, and sometimes charming and witty, but the impression lingers, like a thought-experiment made tangible, or an image brought to life or stood to attention by the simplicity and thoughtfulness of the conjunction of elements in the new configuration.” Gary Sangster, Executive Director of the Headland Center for the Arts.
Tom Scicluna has exhibited at MoCA, North Miami, FL and the Miami Art Museum, Miami, FL. Recent shows include Something at Locust Projects, Miami, FL; Breathing Time at Newcomb Art Gallery, New Orleans, LA; The Milwaukee International Art Fair (w/Locust Projects), Milwaukee, WI; and Mast (solo) at Twenty Twenty Projects, Miami, FL.
